We want you to feel ready and supported from day one. If you have basic care training and the right safety documents, you’re off to a great start. You should have: • Valid First Aid and CPR • Training in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) • Up-to-date immunizations (MMRV) and a negative TB test from the past year • A current N95 mask fit test • A Vulnerable Sector Police Check Having a PSW certificate or Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is a bonus, but not required.

Your role is all about helping people feel safe, clean, comfortable, and respected. You may help with: • Daily personal care like bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care • Toileting support, including incontinence care and safe assistance • Moving and positioning patients to keep them comfortable • Building kind, trusting relationships that support independence • Helping during meals and encouraging healthy eating You’ll always be treated as an important part of the care team.
